Nora Renaud is a Swiss artist who lives and works in Bogotá, Colombia and shows regularly in Switzerland. Her practice engages the interplay between analog and digital space, delving into the tension between art and techno-politics. Renaud explores self-generated tangible devices as means of counter-display and self-representation. Questioning the symbolic and visibility regime, her archeology of the present retrieves hand crafted digital artifacts shaped by art’s hyper materiality. Her mediated speculative fiction practice informs complex systems into contemporary “on-off ” rituals across digital culture, unlocking relationality potential in a hyperconnected commodified world.

Nora Renaud es una artista suiza que vive y trabaja en Bogotá, Colombia y expone regularmente en Suiza. Su práctica explora la frontera entre lo analógico y lo digital, operando en la tensión entre tecnopolítica y arte. Interrogando los regímenes de visibilidad, Nora Renaud investiga metabolismos de sistemas complejos de autorepresentación que elaboran la hiper-materialidad del arte. Sus dispositivos excavan el tiempo con una arqueología del presente que transita entre lo artesanal y lo virtual. Las mediaciones de sus ficciones especulativas son el resultado de rituales offline y en línea que generan sentido y protocolos de relacionalidad que expanden la potencia del cuerpo colectivo en un mundo corporizado por el consumo global corporativo.
